Next Generation

The news on the street for the week
Has been bleak,
I’m talkin’ ’bout the youth
Who don’t know the truth.
They’ve been told a lie
My question is why?
The looting,
And shooting,
The fire
The dire
Situation.
Some youths been hurled down the station
The next generation.
Some will be jailed
I say we’ve all failed.
It’s a shame
I aint here to blame
I just want them to know
That this is livin’ low.
Let’s find a solution
Make it our resolution
Tell them ‘bout big G
His mercy is free.
Let’s lift Him up higher
And Put out the fire.
